Dave Portnoy Takes Shot At Pat McAfee Over FanDuel Deal
Pat McAfee and FanDuel announced this week that they were entering a more serious partnership.
Hours after the revelation, Dave Portnoy sent out a series of tweets that some have interpreted as shots at McAfee, someone who used to be under the Barstool umbrella.
I’d be a lot richer and @PatMcAfeeShow would be alot poorer if I didn’t teach him how to bet on sports a couple years ago. I feel like I deserve 9 of those bags for increasing my limits and then having him bail on me.

Actually I did the math. I need 30 of those bags and we’re even

McAfee, for his part, responded with a kind tweet crediting Portnoy for teaching him so much of what he knows about the digital sports media business.
I still feel bad about that to this day… I had NO IDEA what i was asking you to do there.. that’s on me.
Know that the bags will come from me someday for teaching me this world. I appreciate that more than you could imagine.
To hell with Warren Buffet.

Although McAfee and FanDuel worked together in the past, this deal is wider-ranging and exclusive. FanDuel acknowledged that their relationship with McAfee was the “first of its kind.”
“FanDuel has been an amazing partner of ours for the past year, and I’ve loved everything I’ve done with them whether it was helping launch mobile sports betting here in Indiana or the Spread The Love promotions,” McAfee said.
“Together we will take the fan experience to new heights. I’m pumped for what the future brings.”
Although the exact details of this new partnership have not yet been make public, presumably it will include FanDuel utilizing McAfee’s platform for various betting promotions.
Moreover, McAfee’s content will now be made available on various FanDuel platforms.
It remains to be seen if McAfee will now go out and hire more employees. If he does, it would not be surprising to see his group give Portnoy’s Barstool brand a real run for their money.
