My Brothers and I Went Weeks Without Talking: Michael Jordans DaughterJasmine Visibly Inhe

Michael Jordan and his ex-wife Juanita Vanoy provided their three children with a seemingly normal childhood. However, with the gravitas the Jordan name carried, there was bound to be pressure around the kids. The public expected them to play ball as Jordan did. Jordan acknowledged this pressure in his Hall of Fame speech.

He said, “You guys have a heavy burden. I wouldn’t want to be you guys because of all the expectations.”  While not all his children inherited the basketball gene, there was one aspect of Jordan that all his children, especially his daughter, inherited.

Jasmine Jordan was the tallest girl in any group or grade. Naturally, with her 6’1 height and Jordan being her father, the assumption was that she would play ball. There was no doubt that Jasmine loved the game of basketball. She grew up watching the game and lived around it 24/7. However, she loved the game more as a fan as her passion lay in dance. While she danced around in professional tournaments, there was one important trait that Jasmine inherited from her father.

The trait Jasmine Jordan inherited

Despite not having acquired the basketball gene from Michael Jordan, Jasmine inherited Jordan’s most famous non-athletic trait. Jasmine hates to lose – something she gets from her father. In an interview with Charolette Magazine, Jasmine opened up about this trait that supposedly also runs through the family.

She highlighted that the family loves to play games like UNO and Jenga. She explained that these game nights get incredibly competitive. Jasmine said, “Our competitive juices can send everyone home. My brothers and I will go weeks without talking to each other.” While Jasmine didn’t play ball, her brothers Jeffrey and Marcus Jordan played basketball all through their school and college lives.

Michael Jordan was competitive with his children

The competitive spirit in the Jordan household was supposedly beyond normal. On the Breakfast Club show, Marcus Jordan narrated an instance when competitiveness resulted in a visit to the emergency room. Marcus explained that as kids his brother and he, along with Michael Jordan, would play football with a twist. They’d play the game while being on their knees.

Marcus stated that during one of the football games, Jeffery was attempting a touchdown. However, Michael Jordan rushed to stop Jeffery and tackled him into the glass table which was in the room. Jeffery hurt his forehead and there was blood dripping all over his face. Marcus said, “Me and Dad were terrified.” Eventually, Jeffery had to have his head stitched up.
